General Info

What is Garden Bloggers Fling?

Garden Bloggers Fling is an annual social and garden-touring event for garden bloggers, vloggers, podcasters, and Instagrammers. Held in a different city each year since its inception in 2008, the Fling has attracted garden bloggers from all over the U.S., Canada, and Europe. The 3- to 4-day event is organized and hosted by volunteer garden bloggers from the host city.

Interested in Attending the Fling?

We're glad to hear it! If you'd like to know more about joining the Fling, please read our page about attendance eligibility and other guidelines. Follow this blog for info on how to register once details are complete.

Want to Host the Fling?

If you are interested in hosting the Fling in your city, we welcome your proposal! The Fling goes where bloggers are willing to host, so if you'd like your city to be represented, consider offering to host. Any potential host must be an active garden blogger/self-publisher and have attended at least one previous Garden Bloggers Fling. Upcoming and past Fling locations are listed here; check to see if your city or region is represented. Contact Fling Advisory member Pam Penick if you have any other questions about how to host.

Would You Like to Be a Sponsor?

Thanks for your interest! We invite companies and individuals to be a part of the Fling by becoming a sponsor. Each year nearly 100 garden bloggers, online influencers, and gardening content producers from across the United States, Canada, Europe, and beyond descend on the host city (a different city each year) for a weekend of inspirational garden touring, socializing, and networking. As influential garden communicators, Fling participants blog, tweet, pin, and post to Instagram, Google+, Facebook, and other social media about the public and private gardens they tour and the people they meet. These bloggers are leading the discussion of gardening in their communities and in the far broader reach of the Internet.

Sponsorships help defray the costs associated with Fling activities, including but not limited to garden admissions, catered meals, facility rentals, and transportation. Your company's sponsorship will allow more garden bloggers to attend who might not otherwise be able to afford to go.

In appreciation, sponsor names, logos, and websites are linked to the official Garden Bloggers Fling Blog and Garden Bloggers Fling Facebook Page and acknowledged throughout the Fling event as appropriate. Please see our Sponsor Information page for more details about how your business can become part of this influential social-media event.
